This is Iowa State's second no contest in recent years, with the last occurring in 2021 against Oklahoma State under similar circumstances.
The Cyclones are set to face No. 21 Colorado this Sunday at noon, with the match available on ESPN+.

The Collegian Theater (1937-1974)
The Collegian Theater, built in 1937 by Joe Gerbach’s Ames Theatre Company, was a prominent cultural hub in Ames, known for its modern art deco design, neon signage, and cutting-edge technology. Costing $142,000 to construct, it featured state-of-the-art sound systems, like Western Electric’s Mirrophonic Living Sound, which ensured clear audio throughout the theater. It was also notable for its air conditioning and accessibility features, such as earphones for the hearing impaired.
The theater could seat over 900 people and was the first in Ames to offer widescreen movies by the 1950s. Despite its popularity, including long lines for major Hollywood releases, the Collegian saw declining attendance and eventually closed in January 1974. Today, the building is occupied by US Bank in Downtown Ames.
