Dunkin' Donuts Near ISU Reopens With Entirely New Staff Without Notice

Dunkin' Donuts near Iowa State University recently replaced its staff without prior notice, according to a former employee. Denzel Decker, a senior at ISU, shared that he and other staff members were abruptly removed from the store’s employee group chat and never notified of their termination. The store temporarily closed in late August and reopened with a new team, leaving former employees confused. Customers also noticed a change in staff but reported that the quality of service remained consistent. Dunkin' management has not provided any comment on the situation.

HBM Holdings has acquired Calcium Products, Inc., an Ames-based manufacturer of high-quality agricultural fertilizers. Founded in 1987, Calcium Products is known for its calcium-based fertilizers used in row and specialty crop farming. This acquisition strengthens HBM’s portfolio and advances its growth in the agricultural sector. The current leadership team at Calcium Products, including President Mike Hogan, will remain in place to continue its operational growth and strategy.

Audi Crooks Expects Cyclones to Hit High Notes in Anticipated Season

Iowa State sophomore center Audi Crooks is ready for a big season after a standout freshman campaign, where she averaged 19.2 points and 7.8 rebounds, leading the Cyclones to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Crooks, along with a talented group of returning sophomores and key transfers, aims to help Iowa State build on last season's success.

With fifth-year senior point guard Emily Ryan steering the team, the Cyclones are focused on improving defense and continuing to compete at a high level. Coach Bill Fennelly praised the depth of the team, noting that all 12 players could contribute on the court. As Crooks puts it, the goal is clear: win the Big 12 and make a deep run in the NCAA Tournament.

Cyclones Climb to No. 4 in National Cross Country Poll

Iowa State men's cross country has moved up to No. 4 in the USTFCCCA national poll after an impressive runner-up finish at the Nuttycombe Invitational, behind only No. 2 BYU. Robin Kwemoi Bera led the Cyclones with a fifth-place individual finish.

In the Midwest regional poll, the ISU men are ranked second behind defending national champion Oklahoma State, while the women are ranked third. The Cyclones will continue their season on October 19 at the Pre-National meet in Madison.

Cyclones Begin ITA Central Regional Championships

Iowa State tennis heads to Memphis today to compete in the ITA Central Regional Championships. Five Cyclones will begin play at 9 a.m., including Cristina Ramos Sierra, Mari Paz Alberto Vilar, Valeska San Martin Ramirez, Julia Camblor, and Suzanie Pretorius. Anna Supapitch Kuearum and Ashlee Narker will start their matches on Thursday.

The Cyclones are coming off a strong showing at the Jon Messick Invitational, where they claimed multiple flight championships. The ITA Central Regional will run from October 9, with singles finalists and the doubles champion earning spots in the NCAA Individual Championships.
