Ames CSD Welcomes Jessica Olinger

Welcome Jessica Olinger, an FCS Teacher at Ames Middle School. Olinger became a teacher because she enjoys helping people and wants to share life skills. If she has an hour of free time, she would like to hang out with her 4 kids, go on walks, visit the library, shop, go to the park, snuggle on the couch, do crafts, or cook.

Patrick Peterson Returns to Ames as Assistant Coach

Patrick Peterson, formerly an assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky and UConn, is rejoining Iowa State as an assistant coach for the cross country and track and field programs. Peterson, who was a standout student-athlete at Iowa State from 2013-2015, will support both the men's and women's teams. His recent experience includes coaching middle distance and distance runners, along with successful recruiting and alumni relations. Peterson is eager to contribute to the continued success of the Cyclone program.

Iowa State vs. UNI: Match Day Information

Who: Iowa State (1-1-1) vs. UNI (1-0-1)
Where: Cyclone Soccer Complex, Ames, IA
When: August 25, 7 p.m. (Delayed from 6 p.m. due to heat)

Iowa State is back home for their first game after a 1-1 tie in Des Moines. The Cyclones, led by Morgan Furmaniak and Magdalena Keck, will face UNI, who is coming off a 5-1 win over Western Illinois.

Key Notes:

• Iowa State has scored in every game this season, with Furmaniak and Keck each netting two goals.

• UNI is aiming for its second-ever win against ISU.

Series History:
ISU leads the series 11-1-1. The teams last drew in 2021.

Next Game:
ISU will play at Memphis on Sept. 1 at 8 p.m., streamed on ESPN+.
