Iowa Arboretum's Inclusive Treehouse Village Nears Completion

The Iowa Arboretum & Gardens, located outside of Madrid, is set to open its new $2 million Treehouse Village in mid to late August. This innovative addition features an inclusive playground with accessible elements, such as a wheelchair swing and zipline, ensuring fun for children of all abilities. The Treehouse Village includes three treehouses, a suspension bridge, elevated walkways, a climbing wall, a zipline, five slides, climbing ropes, ladders, and bouncing nets.
Designed to inspire curiosity and an appreciation for nature, the Treehouse Village integrates seamlessly into the natural landscape, using materials like black locust wood and laurel branches. The arboretum, the oldest and largest public garden in Iowa, offers visitors access to 28 distinct garden areas across its 160-acre property. Admission to the arboretum includes entry to the Treehouse Village.

The Ames Regional Economic Alliance office is sporting a fresh new look after Sign Pro installed new signage last Friday. The updated signs proudly display the Alliance brand, giving the office a vibrant and professional appearance. This enhancement aligns with the Alliance’s commitment to fostering economic growth and community development in Ames. Staff and visitors are already feeling the positive impact of the new signage, which highlights the organization's presence and dedication to the local economy.

Iowa State Football Ratings Revealed in EA's 'College Football 25'
The highly anticipated EA Sports game "College Football 25" launched Monday for Deluxe Edition pre-orders, with the standard release set for July 19. This marks the franchise's return after a decade-long hiatus since "NCAA Football 14."
Iowa State players got a sneak peek at Big 12 Media Days, where J.R. Singleton triumphed over Jayden Higgins 13-0 in a trial game. "It was a surreal feeling," Singleton said, reflecting on the childhood dream of being in a video game.
