Midterms at Iowa State: Students Coping with Stress

As midterms approach at Iowa State, many students are feeling the pressure. First-year students like Barbara Bekavac and Parker Meyer note the significant shift from high school test-taking. Bekavac highlights the added stress without the option for retakes, while Meyer describes the nerves leading up to exams but feeling "locked in" once they begin.

Both students find relief through Supplemental Instruction (SI) sessions, where student-led study groups help them prepare. Bekavac wishes for more stress-relief resources, while Meyer emphasizes the value of starting exam prep early.
