Westbound Lanes on Airport Road to Close on Wednesday

The two westbound lanes on Airport Road will close on Wednesday, May 29, weather permitting, to begin the removal of pavement from east of University Boulevard to South Riverside Drive. Traffic will be diverted to the two eastbound lanes during this time.

All Star Concrete has been subcontracted for this project. Following pavement removal, crews will begin underground improvements. Paving operations will start after the completion of underground improvements. The closure will remain in place for six to eight weeks.

Access to businesses on the north side of Airport Road will be via the western North Loop Drive. All are encouraged to take note of this construction activity in the area and allow extra travel time as delays may occur. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through the construction area.
